Ewen Ma is a queer, Hongkongese speculative fiction writer, poet, editor, and occasional theatre deviser.

Their work can be found in venues such as Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Uncanny Magazine, The Deadlands, Fusion Fragment, Apparition Literary, Anathema, Liminality, and the short story anthology Amplitudes: Stories of Queer and Trans Futurity, among others.

An alumni of the Clarion West (class of 2018) and Tin House (Winter 2024) writing workshops, as well as School of Cvntology (2025), Ewen was also a shortlisted nominee for the Future Worlds Prize in 2020 and Moniack Mhor's Emerging Writer Award in 2023.

Ewen was made in Hong Kong, grew up between Hong Kong and Taiwan, and is currently based in the UK.
